111 includes unspecified updates. What's new in this version: Version 1. 111 includes unspecified updates. This browser-based application offers a bundle of utilities and games, but some features simply don't work.

The cluttered and clunky interface confusingly leads users through links on different pages. The program includes simple utilities that allow you to calculate your age in days, create reminders with a built-in calendar, display current world clocks, and jot down notes with a notepad.

Coniuno's interface makes use of a couple of toolbars across the top filled with tiny buttons; fortunately, there are tooltips, so it's not too difficult to figure out the program's features. Beneath the toolbars the interface splits into three panes; one shows the verb in question 442 your "mother tongue," both the infinitive and the tense in which you are to translate it.

Beneath that there's a pane showing the person, mood, and tense of the verb, as well as whether it's reflexive or passive.

In the main pane, Coniuno displays the verb in the training language in the infinitive; it's up to the user to type the appropriate conjugation for the listed person, mood, and tense.

If you're not able to type special characters for some reason, the program has a menu from which they can be inserted. Once you've typed the conjugated verb, hit Enter, and Coniuno will let you know whether your answer is correct; if it's not, it will tell you why (wrong verb, wrong verb form, wrong conjugation, etc.

) and let you try again until you get it right.

The program comes with around 200 verbs, but more can be added. Coniuno comes with a lengthy Help file that explains its features, but we had no problem figuring the program out with 442 little experimentation.

Overall, Coniuno isn't flashy or sleek, but it's a great tool to have if you want to improve the speed and accuracy of your conjugation. Coniuno installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal. Sponsored Update Your Software Get the latest features from your software.

Download NowDownload Now Publisher's Description From Helmut Bischoff: Coniuno is a conjugation trainer for free selectable regular, irregular, and reflexive verbs for the languages German, English, 24, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Latin.

The possible conjugations can be done in either direction (e. German - French, Italian - English etc. Beside own verbs, the around 200 verbs provided by Coniuno can be trained.

The program does all conjugations, also the ones from new verbs automatically.

The program provides a variety of helping functions. What's new in this version: Version 2.

We'll get straight to the point: QTranslate is one of the best translation tools we've encountered. It's versatile, powerful, and easy to use.

It's an excellent choice for people who read or writes in a language other than their mother tongue. QTranslate is deceptively simple to use. The interface is separated into two panes.

To translate a chunk of text, paste it into the top pane (QTranslate will automatically detect its language), select the desired translation language, and the translated text will appear in the bottom pane.

Although we liked this aspect of QTranslate, the application really shines when you're using it elsewhere on your computer -- anywhere else.

Reading a newspaper in a foreign language and unsure of a word.

Highlight it, use the keyboard shortcut CtrlQ, and a small pop-up will appear with the translation. Want to hear the word's pronunciation. CtrlE will play it.

This works system-wide, whether you're in a Web browser, Word document, or anywhere else with text. You can even select the translation service used; options include Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, Promt, Babylon, SDL, and Yandex.

The program comes with a selection of virtual keyboards, making it easy to type characters that aren't included on your real one.

The program's Help file is brief, consisting primarily of a list of keyboard shortcuts, but that's OK; QTranslate is easy to figure out. Overall, we were beyond impressed with QTranslate, and we recommend it for foreign-language readers and writers of all types.
