I never managed to get a picture on the screen all though the mac told me there was a screen attached Configured the Mac Display utility in X YMMV, but that was my experience.

I assume it was typical Mac plug-and-play? I don't use Photoshop and Firefox wasn't very useful since it can't handle two different profiles.

I msc know Mac Whatever it is there is a solution; it is not the monitor. Most 4k2k formats will be x pixels, including all of the 60 frame per second formats. It is a serious problem.
